Fifty-five cadet-athletes honored for their academic excellence

VALLEJO, Calif. – Fifty-five cadet-athletes were honored by California State University Maritime Academy for their academic excellence on Thursday when President Michael J. Dumont announced members of the university's Spring 2023 President's and Dean's Honor Roll.

Announced following the conclusion of each academic semester, 12 President's List members must meet the following criteria to receive the highest academic honor CSUM bestows to cadets:

• Minimum semester GPA of 3.75 or higher
• No semester grade lower than a C
• Enroll in a minimum of 12 graded units (excludes CR grades
• Zero incomplete grades

Forty-three Dean's List honorees earned academic recognition by meeting the following qualifications:

• Minimum semester GPA of 3.25-3.74
• No semester grade lower than a C
• Enroll in a minimum of 12 graded units (excludes CR grades
• Zero incomplete grades

President's List and Dean's List grades are based on a traditional academic semester; cruise and co-op grades, due to the grading process, are not included in this calculation.
