Cal Maritime honors 55 student-athletes for their academic excellence

VALLEJO, Calif. – Cal Maritime officials honored 55 student-athletes who competed in the fall during its bi-annual academic award ceremony when members of the President's and Deans Academic Award List were announced.

The President's List is published during the spring semester for fall recipients and mid-fall semester for spring recipients to honor those students who earned the highest academic achievement.

For the spring semester, grades are calculated based on the academic semester; cruise and co-op grades are not included in this calculation.

To earn President's List distinction, students must meet the following criteria:

• Earn a minimum semester GPA of 3.75
• Earn no grade lower than a C
• Earn a minimum of 12 graded units. Credit/No credit grades are excluded. 
• Possess zero incomplete grades

Dean's List distinction is bestowed to students who possesses a minimum semester GPA between 3.25-3.74 and meet the other three elements of President's List criteria:

• Earn no grade lower than a C
• Earn a minimum of 12 graded units. Credit/No credit grades are excluded. 
• Possess zero incomplete grades
