Grant Blaser Named to All American Team

NAIA Division II Men's Basketball All-America Teams

POINT LOOKOUT, Mo. –The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has announced the 2013-14 Division II Men's Basketball All-America teams. Grant Blaser of the California Maritime Academy was named Honorable Mention All American. The All-America Teams are selected by the NAIA All-America committee.

Blaser, a 6-foot-2 senior guard, led Cal Maritime in scoring by averaging 14.7 points per game while shooting 43% from the three point line and 88.9% from the free throw line. He helped lead the Keelhaulers to the California Pacific Conference's regular season and conference tournament championships to earn the program's third consecutive trip to the NAIA Division Two National Tournament. Cal Maritime also finished the year with a school record 27 wins.

"This is a tremendous honor for Grant. His development from his junior to his senior was outstanding and a great testament to his constant pursuit to get better. He is a tireless worker who has helped set the standard in our program of what it means to be a great teammate," explained Cal Maritime's head coach, Bryan Rooney.
