Dominique Barnes Selected as Player of the Week

Cal Maritime's Dominique Barnes has been selected as the California Pacific Conference's Player of the Week as he played a key role in the Keelhaulers' two pivotal home wins last week.

Barnes, who leads the Keelhaulers in scoring and rebounding this season, had two stellar games to guide his team to its eighth consecutive win and move into a tie with Simpson at the top of the Cal Pac Standings. The Manteca, California native had a 16 point, nine-rebound game in a win over Menlo and then in an important victory over Pacific Union, the senior forward finished with 15 points and 10 rebounds to register his sixth double-double of the season. Barnes is fifth in free throw percentage (.670) and ranks sixth in the conference in both scoring average (12.0) and rebounds per game (4.88).
