Keelhaulers Recognized in National Poll

For the seventh consecutive year, the Cal Maritime's men's basketball poll is considered among the nation's best teams. In the latest NAIA National Poll, the Keelhaulers are receiving votes. Two weeks remain in the regular season before the team begins post season play. At the conclusion of the regular season, Cal Maritime will host the California Pacific Conference Basketball Championships. The winner of this tournament will advance to Point Lookout, Missouri to participate in the NAIA National Championship. The Keelhaulers have won the conference the last five years and have advanced to the National Tournament during this same five year span. Last year, Cal Maritime advanced to the Sweet 16 for the second time in school history with an upset over #2 ranked Union College.

The team is back in action on Thursday as they travel to take on the University of Antelope Valley. Antelope Valley is currently one game back of the first place Keelhaulers. Tip off is scheduled for 7:30pm in Lancaster.
