Win streak snapped at Antelope Valley

LANCASTER, Calif. – Led by Divine Nwoko and Everett Perrot, who finished with eight and six points respectively, Cal Maritime's bench scored 19 points in Saturday's Cal Pac game at the Pioneer Event Center in Lancaster, California.

Outside of an early Keelhauler lead, the host Pioneers took the lead for good in the first half to defeat CSUM, 79-62, and remain atop the conference standings at the midway point of league play.

This result snapped men's basketball's three-game win streak and dropped the Keelhaulers' overall record to 6-10 and Cal Pac mark to 6-4. Antelope Valley will continue its season at 15-1 and 9-1.

Miles Pennington led all Keelhaulers with 12 points, followed by Shawn Kelly and Braxton Adderly, who ended the game with 11 points apiece. Perrot finished with a team-high eight rebounds.

This game also marked the last of six straight on the road for CSUM; men's basketball will host Simpson on Thursday, at 7:30 p.m., in its inaugural home event of 2023.
