VALLEJO, Calif. –
A lengthy string of road games will conclude this week, with a unique situation, that takes men's basketball to Pacific Union for both Cal Pac Conference games scheduled this week.

Men's basketball will look to extend its road win streak against its local rival when it visits Angwin for Tuesday night's 8 p.m. matchup. Two days later, the Keelhaulers will return to Covered Wagon for Thursday's 7:30 p.m. neutral-site contest versus Antelope Valley.

Cal Maritime is the designated home team for Thursday's Cal Pac game versus the Pioneers since U.S. Coast Guard exams are taking place this week inside PEAC. Since the initial set of exam dates changed before the start of the season, but after Cal Pac officials announced its 2023-24 basketball schedules, the Keelhaulers needed to shift the site of their home game against Antelope Valley to another location.

That night will feature an extremely familiar opponent to current CSUM head coach Colin Johnson since he served as the program's assistant coach last season. Not only did UAV capture Cal Pac regular season and tournament championships, it advanced to the second round of the NAIA Championship.

Pacific Union is still seeking its first win of the season  and returns home following a four-game road swing that started on December 16 at Menlo and continued with three games in four days at Antelope Valley, La Sierra and Embry-Riddle.

Antelope Valley will head to Northern California in first place as the only team with an undefeated league record. As is the case with Saint Katherine, the Pioneers are 12-2 overall, 7-0 in league play and lead the Firebirds by 1.5 games in the conference standing since USK is 5-1 against Cal Pac competition.

Cal Maritime will enter the final phase of its season long stretch of road games — six events will take place between its last home game vs. UC Merced, on December 6, and its next one versus Benedictine Mesa on January 18 — with momentum following its thrilling overtime victory at Embry-Riddle.

Against the Eagles, the Keelhaulers scored 15 of the 21 combined points recorded in overtime to earn their first win in Prescott, Arizona, since the 2015-16 season.
