FULLERTON, Calif. – Emerson Santos' layup with 13:21 remaining in the second half pulled Cal Maritime within three of Westcliff during Thursday's Cal Pac Conference game from Darling Pavilion, located on Hope International University's campus in Fullerton, California, but the host Warriors scored 13 of the next 14 points over the following nine minutes to eventually top the Keelhaulers, 66-55.
Men's basketball will face a chance to secure a split of its Southern California road trip Saturday night in a 7:45 p.m. contest against Stanton at Cypress College.
Led by Amanjeet Chatha's career-high 15 points and Sam Adhikary's 12 — new career-high totals for both — Cal Maritime's bench outscored its counterpart by 19 points.
Chatha's scored all of his points from three by hitting 5 of 6 attempts from distance; Adhikary finished 2-for-3 from behind the arc and hit 4 of 5 shots at the free throw line.
