Bio

Sports are important to me because I love to compete. It gives me the opportunity to measure myself up against other athletes. There is no better feeling than winning a race, game, or match. Sports also take me away from academics for a few hours each day which is a nice break. Sports also allow one to build camaraderie with their fellow teammates.

My greatest moment in sports came my freshmen year at Cal Maritime while I was rowing in the novice four. It was at the head of the lagoon, a 5k race near San Francisco. We were competing against boats from UOP and Stanford. The Stanford team was one of the best in the nation. We rowed the race and ended up winning. It was the greatest feeling I ever had in sports because we had beaten the best.
