Sports are important to me because they give me a chance to get out, meet friends, and enjoy all the gifts I have been given. It's always nice to hit that first tee shot to start off a good 18 holes, and though it may cause me frustration sometimes, I always am grateful that I can go play.

A few years ago, I used to be a high diver in Portland, Oregon and my team traveled from southern California to Provo, Utah all the way up to Vancouver, British Columbia. While I was in Canada, I competed in the men's 1 meter, 3 meter and platform events. Out of these I placed second, first, and third. I felt like I had accomplished so much and my hard work had paid off.
