Men's golf finishes seventh at OUAZ Sterling Grove Shootout

SURPRISE, Ariz. – James McNally led Cal Maritime in its first tournament of 2022 by finishing tied for 28th at the OUAZ Sterling Grove Shootout, which took place at Sterling Grove Golf and Country Club in Surprise, Arizona. As a team, the Keelhaulers finished seventh in their first of two trips to Arizona, within a two-week timespan.

On March 6, men's golf will open action at the Embry-Riddle Spring Co-Ed Invitational in Prescott.

Starting with Jake Banich, who finished 40th, the Cal Maritime's other four golfers finished in order with Nate Metcalf, Ryan Bean and Ricky Castillo claiming 41st, 42nd, and 43rd.

Tournament host Ottawa University won the team title with Embry-Riddle's Trevor Lewis winning the individual crown as the only golfer to finish under par.
