VALLEJO, Calif. – Cal Maritime will end a lengthy hiatus, one that lasted from November through January, when it returns to Quail Lodge Golf Resort in Carmel, California, to compete in the PCH Invitational.
Menlo will host this two-day-long tournament, the first of five taking place throughout the spring semester for the Keelhaulers.
Quail Lodge Golf Resort is where CSUM ended its off-season slate when men's golf finished 10th at the fall PCH Invitational, also hosted by Menlo. In that event, which ended on Halloween, Cal Maritime was part of a loaded field and finished 10th.
In that tournament, James McNally led the Keelhaulers' contingent by ending that 36-hole event tied for No. 11 at 9-over on the par 71, 6,454-yard course.
McNally ended the opening day at 8-over but wrapped-up competition with birdies on holes 13, 15 and 17 to end that round at 1-over.
No individual broke par on either round at that fall event.
The second tournament of men's golf's spring slate will commence on February 26 when participating teams visit Vallejo, to compete on men's golf's home course, when Blue Rock Springs Golf Club hosts the second-annual Keelhauler Classic
A portion of Cal Maritime's schedule that includes a pair of tournaments, in as many weeks, concludes March 4-5 in Rocklin, California, at the Jessup Invitational.
The Simpson Invitational (March 25-26) will serve as the Keelhaulers' final tune-up for the league's year-end postseason event, the Cal Pac Conference Men's Golf Championship. Providence Christian will host this tournament at Olivas Links in Ventura, California.
