Tuesday's rounds highlight sixth-place finish at Cal Pac's postseason event
VENTURA, Calif. – James McNally and Brennan White each shot a 74 on Tuesday, the second of three 18-hole rounds that took place at Olivas Links in Ventura, California, as the pair was responsible for the lowest score of any round played by Cal Maritime throughout the California Pacific Conference Men's Golf Championship.
McNally's Tuesday scorecard included 11 pars and a hat trick of birdies, White enjoyed 12 pars, a birdie and ended his round with an eagle on the 18th hole that day.
The duo ended the three-day tournament tied for 16th and 26th place as Cal Maritime finished sixth overall in its final event of the season.
Finishing between McNally's team-low result and White was Jake Banich, who finished three shots ahead of his teammate and finished 25th. Banich also enjoyed his best nine-hole performance on Tuesday when he finished the front nine at even par.
Tyler Dendiu and Nate Metcalf finished 29th and 30th, posting their lowest round on Tuesday and Monday, respectively. Dendiu finished the front and back nine at 6-over, Metcalf shot 7-over throughout the tournament's inaugural nine holes and matched that score over the final nine holes.
Benedictine Mesa captured the team and individual titles; the Redhawks' James Mackie edged his teammate by one stroke as they were the only players to break par. Park Gilbert's Eli Cruzan ended this 72-hole event with an even score.
