CMA defeats UC Santa Cruz 32 - 0

The Cal Maritime rugby team defeated UC Santa Cruz 32 - 0 in a rain-filled game at CMA Saturday, February 19. Despite the wet conditions contributing to numerous ball handling errors for both teams, the Keelhaulers scored 6 tries and were able to shut out their opponent. Lonnie Shankling scored 3 tries for CMA, leading all scorers. Grant Ginilo, Rufus Walker, and Alex Osiadacz all scored tries for the Keelhaulers as well. Kevin Raff made one conversion and added 2 points to CMA's total. The win improves the Keelhaulers record to 6 - 4 (3 - 0 in league play).

CMA's next league game is against the University of Nevada, Reno in Reno on Sunday, February 27. Kick-off is at 1:00.
