Will Fitzpatrick, Rugby Player of the Week

Senior Marine Transportation major Will Fitzpatrick played critical roles in both of CMA Rugby's upset victories the past 2 weeks over D1 Sacramento State and D1 UC Davis. Will, playing both scrumhalf and fullback, scored 6 points on 2 penalty kicks in CMA's 24-21 victory over Sac State and scored 9 points on 1 try and 2 conversions in CMA's 14-12 victory over UC Davis. Will's electrifying interception try against Davis set the tone for a fantastic defensive effort in the hard hitting game.

The San Pedro native has played rugby 4 years at CMA, starting and playing central roles on the team each and every year. The Keelhaulers play their first league game this week, hosting USF at Bodnar Field on Saturday, February 2. Kick-off will be at 1pm.
