VALLEJO, Calif. – The long wait is over for Cal Maritime rugby 15s fans since the team will return to action, in its inaugural event of the 2022 season, when Berkeley Men's RFC returns to Bodnar Field for Saturday's 1 p.m. contest.

Last year on October 2, these teams squared-off in the Keelhaulers' inaugural post-pandemic game. That afternoon, the visitors from Berkeley narrowly defeated CSUM, 25-24, in a thrilling matchup from start-to-finish.

Saturday's contest is the first of four taking place on campus this season. Following next week's action at the Pacific Preseason Tournament, rugby will host Chico State on October 1. Cal Maritime will host Cal State Monterey Bay two weeks later, during Alumni Weekend, before wrapping up its home slate six days later vs. Claremont-Mudd-Scripps.
