Familiar foes meet again in Saturday’s afternoon showdown at Sonoma State

VALLEJO, Calif. – After facing one another last Friday in Cal Maritime's final home game of the fall season, rugby will square off against Sonoma State once again when these teams meet in Saturday's 1 p.m. Pacific Western Conference game. This time, it is CSUM's turn to hit the road and head to Rohnert Park for its final regular season matchup of the fall season.

In last week's contest, rugby sent its nine-man senior class out on a positive note after recording a 48-14 victory. The Keelhaulers scores early and often throughout the night, starting with Anthony Perez' try four minutes into the game. That was the first of 26 unanswered points recorded by CSUM as its defense prevented Sonoma State from scoring until five minutes after halftime.

Including two tries, Connor Hannon singlehandedly outscored the Seawolves, 18-14, since he also nailed four conversions throughout the evening.
