Rugby’s road swing starts Saturday at Pacific

Game 2

Cal Maritime Keelhaulers (1-0)
at
Pacific Tigers

Saturday, Oct. 14 – 1 p.m.
Gardemeyer Field – Stockton, Calif.

VALLEJO, Calif. – Following its impressive 41-24 victory in last Saturday's season opener vs. Cal State Monterey Bay, Cal Maritime will open a road-heavy portion of its schedule on Saturday when it heads to Stockton to face Pacific in the first of three road games set throughout the next two weeks.

Once the team returns from Stockton, the Keelhaulers will have a week to prepare and travel to Southern California for a pair of contests against Claremont-Mudd-Scripps (Oct. 21) and Pepperdine (Oct. 22).

A well-deserved respite awaits rugby once it returns from Malibu since just under two weeks will pass before rugby hosts 2023 national champion Cal Poly Humboldt in the team's marquee matchup of the season on November 4 at Bodnar Field.

This is CSUM's second trip to Stockton in as many seasons; on September 24 last year, the team was one of five — the others were Cal Poly Humboldt, Cal State Monterey Bay and Sonoma State — that participated in a day-long tournament, hosted by Pacific.
