Keelhaulers Ready for Conference Play

The Cal Maritime soccer team is set to open home conference play Wednesday night when it hosts the Red Hawks of Simpson University at the newly renovated Bodnar Field.

Maritime enters this game without a victory after concluding a very challenging pre-season schedule.

Along with an opening trip to Arizona, where the soccer team played back to back games against formidable opponents, the pre-season also saw Maritime play two Bay Area NCAA division ll schools.

"We knew that we were in for a difficult time of it before conference play started, but we feel that these games have prepared us for the tough competition we expect to face in our conference", commentated coach Christodoulou.
