Keelhaulers Drop to 0-2

Cal Maritime (0-2, 0-2) still searching for first goal of 2017.

The Golden Eagles (4-4, 2-0) scored just under eight minutes into the game when Sebastian Perry scored an unassisted goal. Isreal Vasquez made it 2-0 La Sierra in the 11th minute with a goal assisted by Franco Jourdan. Vasquez would score again a little over two minutes later and again in the second half in the 65th minute for a hat trick.

The Keelhualers would manage to get a couple shots on goal with one each from newcomers Blake Rerucha and Justin Davis. Things would get testy between the two conference rivals as yellow cards were issued to Rerucha, Nick Bear and Graham Herder of Cal Maritime. Abel cornejo was issued a yellow card for La Sierra.

Cal Maritime's next game is Saturday September, 30 at 3 p.m. in Redding, Calif. vs. Simpson University.
