ANGWIN, Calif. – Luka Bilaver scored his first goal of the season in the 85th minute of Sunday's California Pacific Conference game in Angwin, on a play that was set up by Frenchie Rousson, but three early goals scored by the host Pioneers helped Pacific Union defeat Cal Maritime, 8-1.
The Keelhaulers' brief road swing continues on Tuesday when they head to Simpson, with an overall record of 0-8-1 and 0-5 conference mark, in a game that was originally scheduled on the opening weekend of the 2021 season until poor air quality, due to wildfires of the region, postponed this contest.
Pacific Union will continue its season with records of 7-8 and 5-5.
