VALLEJO, Calif. — In the last of its season-long four-game homestand, Cal Maritime and Saint Katherine battled one another until a penalty kick helped the visiting Firebirds pull away and ultimately record an 8-0 win over the Keelhaulers.
Jose Diaz took four of his team's five shots, Nikhil Hunter was responsible for the other attempt.
With Saturday's result at Bodnar Field, men's soccer fell to 0-11-1 overall and 0-8 during Cal Pac play; USK will return home with records of 4-7-2 and 1-6-1, respectively.
Following a home-heavy start to the month, Cal Maritime will hit the road for the final time this season when it visits La Sierra on Thursday and Providence Christian on Saturday. Once the Keelhaulers return home, a block of action that includes three games during the final week of the regular season awaits the Keelhaulers. Starting with an October 25 matchup versus Bethesda, men's soccer will compete every other day with games versus Simpson and UC Merced set for the 27th and 29th.
