VALLEJO, Calif. – Nico de Simas' goal in the 74th minute of Tuesday's non-conference finale, his first as a Keelhauler, cut Cal Maritime's deficit in half, and his team threatened to pull even on numerous occasions for the rest of the game, but Bethesda was able to hold on to its slim lead and ultimately escape Bodnar Field with a 2-1 victory after scoring the game-winning goal on a penalty kick in the 66th minute.
Cal Maritime will continue its season-ending homestand on Thursday when it returns to Cal Pac action against Simpson in a 5 p.m. match at Bodnar Field before facing UC Merced in Saturday's 3:30 Senior Day game.
