VALLEJO, Calif. – A 2022 squad that gained valuable experience and caught the attention from coaches throughout the Cal Pac Conference, due to its disciplined and competitive style of play, will face its first chance to compete in an official game in 2023 when Multnomah visits Bodnar Field for Saturday's 1:30 p.m. season opener.
This is the first of two non-conference matchups before league play commences on September 15; following Wednesday's trip to Jessup, the Keelhaulers will head to Simpson on September 15 before hosting Soka in the team's inaugural pair of Cal Pac contests.
After opening their season with a 1-0 win at Chaminade University of Honolulu, the Lions dropped a pair of games by identical 3-2 results to Hawai'i Hilo and Puget Sound.
Losing only one player due to graduation last season, a talented roster returns for fourth-year head coach Mike Carvalho — one that includes a combined 22 freshmen and sophomores and a four-member senior class.
