Keelhaulers fall in weekend finale; home-heavy slate awaits team upon return home

IRVINE, Calif. - Cal Maritime remained within striking distance of Westcliff throughout the opening half of Friday's Cal Pac road weekend finale at OC Great Park in Irvine, California, and only trailed by two at the break. But the host Warriors struck quickly once action resumed and extended their lead to a healthy cushion in a game they won by an 8-0 score.

Awaiting CSUM when it returns home is a schedule that will keep the team local throughout the next couple weeks, starting with Friday's 7:30 p.m. matchup at Bodnar Field versus Benedictine Mesa. The Keelhaulers will enter that game with a 0-6 overall and 0-4 Cal Pac record.

Westcliff will return to action this upcoming week with records of 10-1 and 6-1.

Following its home clash against the Red Hawks, men's soccer will host Park Gilbert on October 1 at 1:30 p.m. before heading to UC Santa Cruz on October 4 (4 p.m.) for its last road non-conference action of the season. Two days later, Providence Christian will visit campus for a 5 p.m. tilt before the team ends that weekend two weeks from today (Oct. 8).
