I love competition, it fuels me to push on. Sports also give me time to get away from the stresses that come from life and school. When I'm competing, what's in front of me is all that matters. Making a save or scoring a goal, I focus on that and everything else goes away momentarily. The water has always been a second home to me. Water polo offers me a violent, physical sport that is also very technical, kind of like a yin-yang sorta thing. I have been participating in sports all my life. Other than water polo, I have continually participated in martial arts since I was 4, currently holding my second-degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do. I have also competitively swam, wrestled, and played soccer.
