VALLEJO, Calif. – For the first time since the 2019 season, Cal Maritime will battle for a national championship when it heads to Gainesville, Florida, as one of the top 16 teams in the nation competing at the Men's National Collegiate Club Championship.

The Keelhaulers' quest for their inaugural title begins Friday morning at 8:20 a.m. Pacific against Army; the rest of CSUM's schedule is determined by the result of each game played. GoKeelhaulers.com will update the team's schedule as received by tournament officials throughout the weekend.

Cal Maritime earned this opportunity by sweeping its games played October 19-20 at the Sierra Pacific Division Championship, beating UC Santa Cruz (14-8), Chico State (11-8) and Cal, 12-9, in the championship match.

That result against the Golden Bears was a sweet one for the Keelhaulers because they face Cal in the Sierra Pacific's title game in two of the three preceding years and lost each occasion.
