Bio
I started sailing when I came to Cal Maritime Freshmen year. After my first time on an F.J., I was hooked on sailing. Up to this day, I have been constantly practicing in both dinghies and big boats to improve my sailing skill, abilities, and competiveness during college races. I am that kind of person that wants to become the best at something, which makes sailing important to me because there is still a lot I need to learn to become a great sailor.
I have not had many sailing achievements during the two years I have been sailing. Thus far though, winning the St. Francis Intersectional Regatta in 2009 in F.J.'s has been my most memorable sailing achievement. Winning this regatta shows that I have come a long way since my beginnings in sailing, that I am able to compete with great college sailors, and be a part of a great team. I never was an athlete before sailing and this accomplishment only proves I can definitely be one.
