Keelhaulers Compete in Cal Invite
The California Maritime Academy sailing team participated in the Cal Invite on Saturday and represented well. The Cal Invite was a one day scimmage event hosted by Cal Berkeley on Treasure Island. The teams that attended were CMA, Cal, Stanford, Monterey Bay, and Davis. Ten races were sailed in 8-15 knots of breeze.
Sailing for CMA was skippers Nevin Garcia '12 and Riley Silberman '15 with crews Michael Midgley '15 and Andre Mercader '14. After a tough day of non-stop racing, CMA finishes 9th and 13th overall out of 15 teams.
