Keelhaulers' season concludes in Oregon at the Rainier Cup

Rainier Cup
April 23-24, 2022
Cascade Locks, Ore.
Port of Cascade Locks
Hosted by Western Washington

VALLEJO, Calif. –
Following last week's weather-altered break, which provided the lone weekend off during the month of April due to unsafe conditions at Morrow Cove that forced the cancellation of the Keelhauler Open, Cal Maritime will return to competition and head to Cascade Locks, Oregon, for its final regatta of the season.

In this event, hosted by Western Washington, Pacific Coast Collegiate Sailing Conference and Northwest Intercollegiate Sailing Association schools are provided an opportunity for one Varsity Open team and one Varsity Women's team; schools can field an unlimited number of JV teams that will compete separately on the Columbia River.

This is a two-division regatta (A/B) that will sail FJs with rotations occurring every two races. As has been the case with recent dinghy regattas involving the Keelhaulers, overall placing determined by each school's combined division scores.

First warning is set for 10:30 a.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. on Sunday; no race will start after 3 p.m. on the 24th.
