Keelhaulers finish fourth at the Carter Ford Open Team Race Championship
VALLEJO, Calif. – The team of Clay Myers, Ryan Downey, Nick Mueller, Etienne Quille, Charlie Bedford and Mateo Krok remained local this past weekend when Cal Maritime visited the Arrillaga Family Rowing and Sailing Center in Redwood City, California, to compete in the Carter Ford Open Team Race Championship.
In this head-to-head dingy regatta, the Keelhaulers split their 18 races; by winning nine, they ended this one-day event in fourth place.
Stanford won the Open Team Race Championship thank to its perfect 18-0 race record.
Cal Maritime's final regatta of the 2023-24 academic year will take place in Santa Barbara, California, when Pacific Coast Collegiate Sailing Conference teams head to the Santa Barbara Yacht Club for the Open Dinghy Championship.
