Final Results

VALLEJO, Calif. –
Nick Mueller showed firsthand why he is one of the most talented sailors in the country with the way he performed at the National Singlehanded Championship, hosted by Old Dominion in Norfolk, Virginia this past weekend.

Mired in 16th place following the weekend's first two races, Mueller opened Sunday's competition by finishing fourth, then followed that result with a pair of sixth-place performances to jump seven other competitors and finish this national championship in ninth place.

The only student-athlete in Cal Maritime's recorded history to earn a berth in this regatta, Mueller competed against the nation's top sailors for the second time in as many seasons.
