PCCSC teams square off against one another at the Open Team Race Championship

Final Results

VALLEJO, Calif. –
Nine of the Pacific Coast Collegiate Sailing Conference's top teams met in Redwood City this past weekend to compete in the Open Team Race Championship, hosted by Stanford at the Arrillaga Family Rowing and Sailing Center.

Even though Stanford won its regatta by winning all 14 head-to-head races, Cal Maritime was part of a three-way logjam for fifth place with Hawai'i and USC as all finished the weekend with three wins out of the eight races involving each team.

The Keelhaulers were represented by Nick Mueller, Tate Oyler and Kaden Miller with Chloe Hedge. Oscar Perry and Indigo Craig rounding out their lineup, one that ended up victorious against Hawai'i, Cal and UC Santa Cruz. Due to the total points scored when the Keelhaulers faced UH, and the Rainbow Warriors competed against the Trojans, USC captured fifth with Hawai'i and the Keelhaulers finishing sixth and seventh.

This regatta was the penultimate of the academic year, the final competition is set for the weekend of April 18 and 19 at the U.S. Sailing Center in Long Beach, California, when USC hosts the PCCSC Fleet Race Championship.
