Bio

Bree Domingo

Sports are important in my life because for as long as I have been participating in one, everything in my life has stayed on track. No matter if it's school, my family, or friends I am able to balance it all because it has taught me discipline and dedication. But most of all, playing a sport has kept me motivated and driven to reach all of my goals, both on the court and in the classroom.

My most memorable sports achievement in my life thus far would be being a part of the Solano Community College Womens Basketball team of 2008-2010. Being a part of many teams prior to going to Solano I had no idea there was so much more to basketball than just playing on a team. At Solano they not only expect you to succeed on the court, but in the classroom as well. Having progress reports due every two weeks and being expected to sit in the front row of every class was not something that I was used to in my previous years playing basketball. By having these expectations, I was able to achieve my most successful academic career thus far. But just like in the classroom, we were tested and pushed on the court as well. My coach, Matt Borchet, expected nothing but perfection during practices which resulted in two consecutive championships in the two years I attended. By going to Solano I am now a more driven and hardworking student-athlete.
