Bio
Elizabeth Barros
Basketball is important in my life because it brings structure to everything else that I am involved in. Being a part of a team requires much responsibility. To be successful as a team requires good health and staying in shape also eating right and taking care of your body. Also, to stay eligible I must keep good grades. Doing my homework and attending class is very important to keep an active role on the team. Being on a team bring a sense of community and motivates me to get involved with other school activities.
My most memorable sports achievement is more of an experience. I played club basketball for seven years and during that time I was able to travel around the country and play games against girls from all different areas. I was given an opportunity to do something that I love, which is play basketball, as well as travel around the United States. I saw and learned many things that most teenagers are not privileged to do. Basketball not only kept me active as a kid and out of trouble but brought many opportunities to my life. I am able to receive a great education and continue to play basketball and that is something I will always treasure and remember.
