Quaraya Fuston

Sports are very important in my life because it is very healthy, I stay in shape and it relieves stress. It is a time for me to have fun and not worry about negativity in my life during that certain amount of time. The most memorable sport achievement in my life is my junior year when my team (a team that lost a majority of our games) beat a good undefeated team in my basketball conference. It was a close game the whole forty minutes. In the end my team ended up beating them by two points because of a steal I made and the two free-throws I made after the team fouled me going up for a lay-up. It was a good game and it felt like we won a championship. It has changed my mentality as an athlete by making me think that no matter what happens in my life, if I work hard and be positive, it will pay off. I've worked hard ever since.
