Keelhaulers Head back To Oregon
After playing 2 exhibition games versus Sonoma State and Fresno State, the Keelhaulers step back into NAIA action with 2 games this weekend in Klamath Falls, Oregon. Cal Maritime (0-3) will take on Southern Oregon for the 2nd time in 2 weeks at the Midland Empire Tournament hosted by Oregon Tech at 1pm on Friday. In the first match-up the Raiders of Southern Oregon defeated the Keelhaulers by a score of 103 to 54. Southern Oregon dominated in every statistical category. The Raiders come into the match with a 3-0 record and coming off a big victory over Pacific Union College on Monday.
On Saturday the Keelhaulers take on the host Oregon Tech at 5:30 in the Midland Classic. This is the 1st of 2 meetings between the 2 teams. The Owls (2-2) are coming off 2 hard fought battles in the William Jessup tournament this past weekend. "As a team we are still trying to find ourselves and our identity together. Each game we are getting better and earning each others' trust on and off the court," Coach Dave Covell said of his team.
Both games will be webcasted via the Oregon tech Athletic Website. Tip at 1pm on Friday and 5:30 on Saturday.
