Javier Brantley Earns Player of the Week Award

Cal Maritime guard Javier Brantley posted some big numbers last weekend to guide the Keelhaulers to a pair of wins and garner Player of the Week honors in California Pacific Conference women's basketball.

Brantley, a senior out of Richmond, Calif., posted outings of 21 and 32 points to lead Cal Maritime to wins over Bethesda and CSU San Marcos at the Cal Maritime Classic. Brantley shot 40% from the field, including 8-for-20 (40%) beyond the arc and 11-for-15 (73%) on the line to average 26.5 points. She also averaged seven rebounds in the tournament. The Keelhaulers have now won three in a row, improving their overall record to 6-5.
