Kovacevich and Mootz Named Academic All Americans
The NAIA announced Monday that 253 Division II women's basketball student-athletes have been named 2015-16 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes. Three seniors from the California Pacific Conference joined the list of honorees: Kaylor Kovacevich and Jordan Mootz from Cal Maritime, and La Sierra's Kristen Brummett.
Bethel (Ind.), Bethel (Kan.) and Mount Marty (S.D.) tied for the most individuals on the list out of all institutions with eight each.
In order to be nominated by an institution's head coach or sports information director, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved a junior academic status.
