VALLEJO, Calif. – Freshman forward Dylan Fulton led a gritty Keelhauler squad in Saturday's Cal Pac home finale with 29 points and 143 rebounds, new career highs and the highest figures recorded by any Cal Maritime player in the program's Senior Night matchup against Pacific Union.
Also enjoying a career-best night was sophomore guard Anjali Sharma as she also set a new career high by scoring 14 points against the Pioneers.
Forced to play with only five players, due to an injury-ravaged roster, the final home game on the Keelhaulers' schedule started with a pregame ceremony that honored senior guard Alexandra Corral, and continued with the Folsom native sinking a pair of threes, collecting a career-high eight rebounds and three assists in her final appearance inside PEAC Main Gym.
Trailing by only a point at halftime, Cal Maritime's five played the entire game, and remained within striking distance until PUC pulled away in the fourth quarter to record a 79-66 victory.
Cal Maritime's final games of the season will take place at Simpson on Wednesday (5:30 p.m. tip), followed by a pair in Southern California at La Sierra next Saturday (6:30 p.m.) and Antelope Valley two days later on Feb. 21.
