Marissa Serrano sets new career high in Keelhaulers’ Cal Pac opener

VALLEJO, Calif. – Marissa Serrano set a new career high by collecting 10 rebounds, the most recorded by any individual player, by either team. in Thursday's Cal Pac opener at PEAC Main Gym. 

Alicia Porter led all players with 24 points, on 10 of 16 shooting, and recorded six boards of her own, as Cal Maritime outscored Saint Katherine, 18-13 in the third quarter, to pull within striking distance. But the Firebirds responded by doubling CSUM's 12 points in the final period to pull away and record an 80-54 result over the Keelhaulers. 

Cal Maritime will enter Saturday's 5:30 p.m. matchup against  Westcliff, the last of a season-opening six-game homestand, at 0-5 overall and 0-1 against league teams. Saint Katherine will continue its Northern California road trip with records of 6-1 and 0-1.
