VALLEJO, Calif – Women's basketball's lengthy string of road games will begin on Friday, December 8, when it heads to Redding for the first of a pair of pre-finals-week games. Once everyone returns home from Simpson, the Keelhaulers will visit Jessup on Tuesday, December 12, for its final official non-conference game of the season.
Tipoff in Rocklin will take place at 5:30 p.m.
Following its week of finals and exams, CSUM will return to action on December 20 at Pacific, but that game is a designated exhibition.
Tuesday's event will take place in a familiar environment for a pair of Keelhaulers: Freshman forward Lexy Wallace redshirted the 2022-23 season at Jessup before transferring to Cal Maritime this past summer; head coach Imhotet Amen-Ra served as the Warriors' assistant coach for four years before continuing his career in a similar position at Cal State Monterey Bay last season.
Entering this week's upcoming action, graduate student forward Alicia Porter will continue her push to become the program's all-time scoring leader. The Simi Valley native scored 1,178 points throughout her career as a Keelhauler and needs another 302 to match Lauren Westbrook's total of 1,480.
Cal Maritime is Simpson's final Cal Pac opponent of 2023 and the last of a home-heavy portion of its schedule.
After splitting a pair of home games against Embry-Riddle, a two-point loss, and La Sierra, a 15-point victory, the Redhawks dropped Wednesday's game at Pacific Union.
Entering its weekend at 6-1, Jessup will play three straight inside Warrior Arena, starting with Saturday's contest against No. 21 Southern Oregon. Following the Keelhaulers' visit, it will square off against UC Merced before ending the calendar year with four road games.
