Supakit leads contingent of Cal Maritime golfers at the Sterling Grove Shootout

SURPRISE, Ariz. – Tiara Supakit led a group of Keelhaulers who competed in the OUAZ Sterling Grove Shootout, hosted by OUAZ at the Sterling Grove Golf and Country Club in Surprise, Arizona. Supakit posted her lowest round of the event by finishing with a 91 on her third trip around the course, which led to a 31st-place finish.

Teammates Ambria Gee and Yanna Albarracin ended their Cal Maritime debut in 38th and 39th place, with each posting their lowest 18-hole score during the event's second round.

Cal Pac colleague Embry-Riddle won the tournament with the lowest team score; Danielle Talley, from host Ottawa University, edged ERAU's Maisy Alsen by one stroke to collect an individual championship.

The OUAZ Sterling Grove Shootout marks the first of two trips to the desert for the Keelhaulers as they will return to action on March 6, in Prescott, at the Embry-Riddle Spring Co-Ed Invitational.
