Women's golf finishes fifth at program's inaugural Cal Pac Championship
REDDING, Calif. – Led by Tiara Supakit, who finished 20th among a talent-laden field at the California Pacific Conference Women's Golf Championship, Cal Maritime finished fifth in the program's inaugural appearance at the conference's year-end event.
She posted the lowest individual round of the event for Cal Maritime when she walked off the course at Gold Hills Golf Club on Tuesday with a 93. She was one of three individual who carded a top-30 total for the weekend with Ambria Gee ending the event in 26th place.
Two positions behind Gee was Yanna Albarracin; Natalie So just finished outside the top 30 by ending her visit to Redding in 31st, but she was responsible for the biggest improvement from one round to the next when she ended the second round score that was a 14-shot improvement compared to her opening-round result.
Embry-Riddle took home team honors, earning a berth at the NAIA National Championship in the process.
Led by Kendall McBean, who collected an individual title, ERAU golfers occupied the top five positions on the Championship's leaderboard.
