Cal Maritime sets two new postseason program records

VENTURA, Calif. – Cal Maritime set two new Cal Pac Championship school records when competition at Olivas Links in Ventura, California, concluded Wednesday afternoon. In addition to finishing a program-best third as a team, freshman Allison Bailey is now responsible for the best finish by a Keelhauler, thanks to her sixth-place individual result.

By shooting an 82 on Monday, Bailey ended the opening round in sixth place. By ending Tuesday's 18-hole round on the par 72, 5,734-yard course with five pars, a birdie and a bogey, she improved one position on the individual leaderboard hearing into Wednesday's final round.

By playing consistent golf — her final trip around Olivas Links included nine pars — she secured sixth place by herself, finishing four strokes ahead of her closest competition.

Since Embry-Riddle (AZ) posted the six lowest individual scores, capturing team and individual championships in the process, Bailey was responsible for the lowest individual score from the rest of the field.

Cal Maritime's remaining lineup finished behind one another from 16th through 18th place, starting with Sofia Campos Perez, continuing with Dyllan Borer and Alice Sandel.
