ALISO VIEJO, Calif. – Early offense from Soka helped it defeat Cal Maritime in Friday's Cal Pac Conference game at Lions Den Soccer Stadium in Aliso Viejo. After falling to the Lions by a 10-0 score, a quick turnaround now awaits the Keelhaulers since they will return to action at Bodnar Field on Monday when Lincoln (CA) visits campus for a 7 p.m. non-conference matchup.
Even though Cal Maritime will enter that contest at 0-7 overall and 0-4 in conference play — Soka University will continue its season at 2-6-2 and 2-2-1 by winning its second straight game — the Keelhaulers will face a month-long schedule filled with home events.
Including Monday's first-ever meeting vs. the Oaklanders, women's soccer will play its next five game on home turf and conclude the season with seven of its final nine played on campus.
