VALLEJO, Calif. - Prior to the start of women's soccer's season finale against UC Merced, a capacity crowd helped the program honor Maddy Dack in a pregame Senior Day ceremony. Once action began, soccer fans cheered for the soon-to-be graduating goalkeeper whenever she touched the ball, and continued to show their appreciation long after Saturday's Cal Pac matchup at Bodnar Field ended with a 13-0 result in the Bobcats' favor.
In her final game as a Keelhauler, Dack collected 14 saves to finish the 2022 season with 260, bumping up her career total to 440 in the process.
Not only is Dack the program's all-time record holder for the most career and single-season saves, her 260 for the year ranks her No. 1 among all Cal Pac goalkeepers; her career total is the conference's new benchmark since that is another No. 1 total owned by the Brea, California native.
With the 2022 season now over for all Cal Pac teams, Dack's 260 saves is the second-highest total among all NAIA players in the nation.
