Sarai Alonso, Amanda Carvalho earn Daktronics NAIA Scholar-Athlete honors

VALLEJO, Calif. – Senior Sarai Alonso and junior Amanda Carvalho earned spots on 2023 Daktronics NAIA Women's Soccer Scholar-Athletes honor roll when the national organization announced this year's honorees.

This is the first time each cadet-athlete earned Scholar-Athlete distinction from the NAIA.

In order to earn a nomination by an institution's head coach or sports information director, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum GPA of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale, appear on the eligibility certificate for the sport and attend one full year at its institution.
