Sports are extremely important in my life because they provide a place to challenge your capabilities. Through sports friendships are made; you learn to work as a team not as an individual, and things you never thought possible can happen with hard work and dedication.

Recently, I have started the sport of rugby at the California Maritime Academy. I never thought that I could play such a demanding sport of tackling people to the ground etc. I feel that rugby has given me the confidence to believe women can play hard core sports and succeed at them.
