Cal Maritime announces 2023 cross country schedule

VALLEJO, Calif. — Four meets will take place throughout men's and women's cross country's 2023 schedule until both teams head to Fresno, California, for the Cal Pac's season-ending league playoffs.
When head coach Francisco Gomez announced both team's schedule on Wednesday, competition will commence on September 9 when the men and women head to Ceres as part of the Kim Duyst Twilight Invitational's field. Two weeks later, the Keelhaulers will head to Rocklin to run the On Campus Course at the Jessup Invitational (Sept. 23).
Following a brief respite, two meets will take place in as many weeks, starting in San Francisco at the SF State Invitational (Oct. 6). Cal Maritime's final pre-postseason tune-up is set for October 14, in Sunnyvale, at the Bronco Invitational.
When CSUM returns from that meet, everyone will have just over two weeks to prep for the Cal Pac Championship (Oct. 30). As was the case last season, every league team will visit Woodward Park to compete for a conference title and an automatic berth in the NAIA's Cross Country National Championship.
